Which oil goes into a Iseki TX1410 or TX1510, and how much? In this blog you'll find all fluid types and exact capacities from the original Iseki manual — engine oil, transmission oil, front axle, coolant and fuel. This way you always top up with the right type and the right amount.
Suitable for the entire series: TX1410, TX1410F (4WD), TX1510 and TX1510F (4WD).
| Component | Fluid type | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | Diesel engine oil | 3.0 liters |
| Transmission (gearbox) | Hypoid gear oil SAE 80 | 12.3 liters |
| Steering box | Hypoid gear oil SAE 80 / 90 | top up |
| Cone case (4WD only) | Hypoid gear oil | 0.7 liters |
| Front gear case (4WD only) | Gear oil SAE 80 / 90 | 0.25 liters × 2 locations |
| Cooling system (radiator) | Coolant / water | 4.8 liters |
| Fuel tank | Diesel (JIS #2–3) | 12 liters |

The K3A (TX1410) and K3B (TX1510) run on regular diesel engine oil, with a capacity of 3.0 liters. According to the maintenance schedule, you should change the engine oil every 100 operating hours, and at least once a year. Keep the level between the marks on the dipstick: too little oil leads to overheating and wear, too much oil can escape through the breather. When changing the oil, don't forget the copper sealing ring on the drain plug — this should be renewed each time to prevent oil leakage.
The gearbox has by far the largest capacity, at 12.3 liters . Use hypoid gear oil SAE 80 for this. On these tractors, the transmission shares its oil with the hydraulic system, so a correct level and clean oil are important for a properly functioning lift. Change this oil according to schedule and regularly check for water or dirt contamination.
The four-wheel-drive TX1410F and TX1510F have extra lubrication points: the cone case (0.7 liters) and the front gear case (2× 0.25 liters), both using hypoid gear oil. These points are often overlooked in practice. A low level or moisture in the front axle leads to costly drivetrain damage — so check them during every major service. Top up the steering box with hypoid gear oil SAE 80 or 90.
The cooling system has a capacity of 4.8 liters. Use a good-quality coolant with antifreeze and corrosion protection, and replace it once a year. Clean coolant prevents corrosion and thereby also indirectly protects the head gasket and the water pump. Check the coolant level before every workday — a habit that prevents overheating. Note: never open the pressure cap right after working, but wait about 10 minutes for the system to cool down; otherwise boiling water can spray out.
The TX1410 and TX1510 run on regular diesel (referred to in the manual as JIS #2–3). The tank holds 12 liters. Keep the tank as full as possible — this limits condensation and water forming in the fuel, a common cause of starting problems in older diesels. When refueling, avoid filling it all the way to the brim, and make sure no dirt gets into the tank.
