Iseki TA engine oil & fluids: which oil and how much? (TA207–TA317)
Which engine oil should go into an Iseki TA Landleader, and how many litres actually go into the gearbox? The original Iseki TA series manual is very precise about this. Below we've listed all fluids, viscosities, and fill quantities per model.
Suitable for the entire series: Iseki TA207, TA227, TA247, TA263, TA267, TA287 and TA317 (2WD and 4WD).
Iseki TA engine oil: viscosity per season
The engine crankcase holds 4.8 litres. It's filled with 10W/30 at the factory, and for the Dutch climate that's simply the best choice year-round. For those who want to switch per season, the manual recommends: SAE 30 in summer (above 25°C), SAE 20 in spring and autumn (0–25°C), and SAE 10W in winter (below 0°C). Use at least API class CC diesel engine oil – a modern 15W40 diesel oil easily meets this requirement. Important: top up with the same type of oil already in the engine and don't mix different types.
Iseki TA transmission oil and hydraulics: one system
On the TA series, the gearbox, the differential, and the hydraulic lift share the same oil supply. The manual specifies gear oil GL-4 #80 (SAE 80W). The fill quantity differs per model, so check the table:

Note the difference between the systems: the power steering has its own reservoir with thin hydraulic oil (ISO 32) and therefore must not be topped up with gear oil. Check the level every 100 hours using the dipstick in the filler cap and change every 300 hours.
Changing Iseki TA oil: how to do it
Drain the engine oil via the drain plug at the bottom of the crankcase; then top up via the filler opening to the upper mark on the dipstick. Drain the transmission oil via the plug at the bottom of the gearbox and top up to the maximum mark on the dipstick – check the level with the dipstick fully inserted. Change the transmission oil for the first time after just 50 hours: especially in the early stages, grinding debris ends up in the oil that you don't want circulating through your hydraulic pump and lift valve. On F models, don't forget the front axle (change every 600 hours).
Iseki TA coolant
The cooling system holds 7 litres and should be filled up to the filler neck with long-life coolant (LLC). Replace annually and never use water alone: without antifreeze, the engine block can crack in winter, and without a corrosion inhibitor, the cooling system rusts shut from the inside – resulting in an overheated engine.
Product tip: with the Engine oil filter + oil 15W40 set Iseki TA Landleader (SKU-15W402/001) you'll have filter and oil in one go. When draining, also renew the drain plug seal (SKU-410053) – this prevents a leaking crankcase plug.
