Below is an overview of the operation of a Kubota GL series hydraulic control unit
The Monroematic seen from the GL25
The control unit from the manual:
1. Auto plow depth adjustment knob (オート耕深調節ダイヤル)
2. Backup switch[MA-specificatie] (バックアップスイッチ[MA仕様])
3. Monroe/ 3P switch (モンロ/3P切換スイッチ)
4. Monroe Match Angle Adjustment Dial (モンローマチック角度調節ダイヤル)
5. Monroe Match Manual Switch (モンローマチック手動スイッチ)
6. Lift arm top knob[MA-specificatie] (リフトアーム上限ダイヤル[MA仕様])
7. Car changeover switch[MA-specificatie] (オート切換えスイッチ[MA仕様])
Explanation Monroematic 1.
Auto Plough Depth Adjustment Knob[MA-specificatie] (オート耕深調節ダイヤル[MA仕様])
This button is used to automatically adjust the ploughing depth when the switches are set to “Normal”, “Sensitive”, or “Auto”. This allows you to adjust the depth from shallow to deep depending on the desired working conditions.
• Additional Note (補足) : In the “Shallow” (浅) mode, this button can be used to limit the cultivation depth, so you can prevent the plough from sinking too deeply into the ground. Use this as a convenient way to make the cultivation shallower.
Monroe Match Manual Switch (モンローマチック手動スイッチ)
This switch is used when the Monroe/3P switch is set to a position other than “off” (切). It causes the implement to be tilted to the left or right, depending on the machining needs.
Explanation
This section provides an overview of three important operating functions of the machine:
1. Backup Switch[MA-specificatie] : Helps to automatically raise the implement when the machine goes into reverse. This prevents the implement from hitting the ground or being damaged while reversing.
2. Auto Plough Depth Adjustment Knob[MA-specificatie] : Allows the operator to automatically adjust the depth of ploughing depending on the field conditions. This is useful for both shallow and deep ploughing.
3. Monroe Match Manual Switch : Used to manually tilt the implement left or right, which is useful in situations where precise control of the implement is necessary.
Monroematic 2 Explanation.
Backup Switch[MA-specificatie] (バックアップスイッチ[MA仕様])
This switch causes the implement to rise when the reverse lever (transmission) is placed in the reverse position.
1. When the reverse lever is moved to reverse while the implement is lowered, the implement will automatically rise.
2. If you want to lower the implement again after it has been lifted by the backup switch, use the hydraulic pump or the lift lever to lower the implement again.
Monroematic 4 Explanation.
Monroe Match Angle Adjustment Dial (モンローマチック角度調節ダイヤル)
The Monroe/3P switches should be set to a position other than “off”, with this dial being used to adjust the implement position.
1. When the rotary knob is set to the “horizontal” position (水平) :
•The tool remains in a horizontal position.
2. When the rotary knob is turned to the left (左下) :
•The implement tilts to the left.
3. When the rotary knob is turned to the right (右下) :
•The implement tilts to the right.
Note : When the tool is in the upper position, it is held in a horizontal position.
Explanation
This dial is used to adjust the angle of the tool during use. Depending on the specific task, it may be necessary to keep the tool in a horizontal position or to tilt it left or right for better performance or accuracy. The dial allows users to easily adjust these settings.
Monroematic 6 Explanation.
Lift Arm Top Knob[MA-specificatie] (リフトアーム上限ダイヤル[MA仕様])
This knob is used to adjust the top position of the lift arm.
1. When the rotary knob is turned to “high” (高) :
•The maximum lifting height of the lift arm is increased.
2. When the rotary knob is turned to “low” (低) :
•The maximum lifting height of the lift arm is reduced.
Additional Note (補足)
•The Lift Arm Top Dial allows the maximum lift heights set with the pump control lever and the hydraulic lift lever to be adjusted as required.
Explanation
This knob allows the operator to adjust the maximum height of the lift arm. This is useful in situations where the machine needs to lift implements to different heights, depending on the specific farming task. By turning the knob to “high” or “low”, the operator can adjust the lift height to the needs of the moment.
Monroematic 7 Explanation.
Car Changeover Switch[MA-specificatie] (オート切換えスイッチ[MA仕様])
• Free (自) : In this mode the machine can be used for general farming tasks, where the depth can vary from shallow to deep. This is a standard setting for various types of field work.
• Automatic (動) : This mode is specifically designed for working wet rice fields. The machine automatically adjusts the depth depending on the conditions to achieve the best result.
• Off (切) : Disables the machine’s automatic functions, allowing manual operation.
Important Note
•When performing work with a raised rotary hood, the switch must be set to “Free (自)” or “Off (切)” to prevent damage to the machine.
Release pressure from the system
How to Use the Hydraulic Pressure Drain (油圧取出しの使い方)
This procedure is used when you want to drain hydraulic pressure from the cylinder.
1. Move the hydraulic pump lever or the lifting lever to the upper position and set the Monroe Match to the “Horizontal Stop” (平行停止) position.
2.Turn the lift arm upper rotation knob to the “Release Hydraulic Pressure” position.
3. Set the depth adjustment lever and lock the hydraulic pressure.
4.To release hydraulic pressure (i.e. to raise or lower the lift arm), use the Monroe Match automatic switch.
Additional Comments (補足)
•When the lift arm top rotation knob is set to the “Release Hydraulic Pressure” position, the “Auto Plow Lamp”, “Pump Lamp”, “Backup Lamp” and “Monroe Match Lamp” are turned off.
•In the “Bleed Hydraulic Pressure” position, the hydraulic pump, lift lever and Monroe Match switch will not operate.
•If the engine is stopped during the “Hydraulic Pressure Bleed” mode, use the “Hydraulic Pressure Bleed” mode again by turning the dial to “low” (低) first, and then back to “Hydraulic Pressure Bleed” mode.
• After completing the hydraulic pressure drain, make sure to release the hydraulic pressure.
Explanation
These instructions explain how to drain the hydraulic pressure from the cylinder. This process involves positioning various switches and levers to put the machine in the proper configuration. This is especially useful in situations where you need to extract hydraulic energy from the machine for other applications.
Monroe match on & off
Monroe Match “Enabled” (Automatic) Function
When the Monroe Match is enabled (自動), it has the following benefits during work:
• The inclination of the implement remains constant , regardless of the inclination of the tractor itself.
1. When the Monroe Match Angle Adjustment Dial is set to the horizontal position (水平) :
•Suitable for ploughing on flat land or wet rice fields.
• Leveling rice fields, working replacement rotary discs, and other similar tasks.
•General field work such as preparing the land for sowing or planting.
2. If the Monroe Match Angle Adjustment Dial is set to a position other than horizontal (水平以外) :
•For standing crops upright, leveling out uneven areas, and other special work.
Monroe Match “Disabled” (Manual) Function
When the Monroe Match is disabled (手動), it is useful for the following tasks:
• For work requiring a higher angle , such as working on steep slopes.
•For removing the tool after completion of the work.
Additional Comments
•If Monroe Match is not needed (for example, during front loader operations), set it to “Off” (手動).
•Please note that when operating manually with the lift arm fully raised, pressure on the pivot points may increase, which could cause damage.
•When tightening the mounting chain, make sure to do so by hand and avoid using tools to prevent excessive tension.
Monroe Match Manual Switch
The Monroe Match Manual Switch is used when the Monroe/3P switch is turned off (切). This switch tilts the implement left or right depending on the work requirement.
• When the lever is pushed up (上げ方向):
•Tilts the right side of the implement upwards.
• When the lever is pushed down (下げ方向):
•Tilts the right side of the implement down.
Additional Note
•The switch operates smoothly with minimal effort. Do not apply excessive force to the switch to avoid damage.
Rolling sensor monroematic
Caution when Handling the Rolling Sensor (ローリングセンサの取扱い注意)
The rolling sensor is an electronic component that detects the inclination of the machine.
Important Note:
•Do not knock or subject the rolling sensor to shock, as this may reduce its functionality. Handle this part with care to ensure it continues to function properly.
Monroematic controls on steering wheel
Operation of the Plough Depth Position (耕深位置制御)
Important Notes:
1. When the pump indicator lights up :
•Use the hydraulic lever or the pump control lever to turn off the pump indicator before continuing to operate the machine.
2. The pump control lever operates smoothly with minimal force :
•Avoid applying excessive force to the lever to prevent damage.
3. When new implements are installed :
•Use the hydraulic lever instead of the pump control lever to raise the implement, taking care not to allow the implement to contact the front axle.
Rear lift operation
Operating the Lifting and Lowering System for Implements (作業機昇降装置の取扱い)
The hydraulic control will continue to operate regardless of the clutch status as long as the engine is running. Before performing position-related work, make sure the auto-change switch is turned off.
Hydraulic Lever (Position Control Lever) (油圧レバー [ポジションコントロールレバー])
The hydraulic lever allows the implements to be raised and lowered freely. Pulling the lever back raises the implement. Pushing the lever forward lowers the implement.
Important Notes[MA-specificatie] (To be continued)[MA仕様] )
1. For safety, the following properties apply:
•After starting the engine and setting the hydraulic lever to the desired position (as long as the engine is running and the main switch is “on”), the implement remains in position.
•When the engine is stopped or the hydraulic lever is moved to a lower position, the implement will lower.
2. Using the Lever Stop[M-specificatie] (レバーストッパの使い方[M仕様])
•Set the desired position with the hydraulic lever.
•Put the lever stop in the correct position.
•The hydraulic lever can then be moved to the lever stop, always maintaining the same implement position.
Adjusting the lowering speed of the rear linkage
Implement Descent Speed Adjustment (作業機落下速度の調整)
You can adjust the lowering speed of the implement by turning the lowering speed grip.
• Turn to the left (“早くなる”) : The implement descends faster.
• Turn to the right (“遅くなる”) : The implement descends more slowly.
• Center position (“ロック”) : Lock, stops the movement.
Additional Comments (補足)
• MA specification : If the descent speed is too fast and the implement does not descend smoothly, adjust the descent speed for smoother operation.
•When locking the hydraulic lever, carefully tighten the screw and make sure it is tightened securely, but not overtight.
