Iseki TU165 filters: what do you need and when should you replace them?

Iseki TU165 filters: what do you need and when should you replace them?

Filters are by far the most common maintenance component on your Iseki TU165. In this article, we'll discuss which filters your tractor has, where they're located, and why it's convenient to replace them all at once.

Suitable for the entire series: Iseki Landhope TU145, TU155, TU165 and TU175 (2WD and 4WD versions).

Iseki TU165: which filters does it have?

Your Iseki TU165 (and the rest of the series) has four filters that need regular attention:

Filter Function Point of attention
Oil filter Filters dirt and metal particles from the engine oil Replace with every oil change (every 100 operating hours, see the maintenance schedule)
Fuel filter Prevents dirt and water from entering the injection system A clogged fuel filter is a well-known cause of irregular idling or an engine that won't start
Air filter Keeps dust and dirt out of the combustion air Clean regularly (every 50 operating hours); a clogged air filter is a direct cause of white smoke when idling
Hydraulic filter Filters the shared transmission/hydraulic oil If contaminated, the hydraulic pressure cannot build up properly — see our hydraulics & PTOblog

Because the transmission oil on this tractor also serves as hydraulic oil (see our engine oil & fluidsblog), a clean hydraulic filter is extra important: contamination here directly affects both the gearbox and the lift system.

Iseki TU165 filter set: everything at once

Since the oil filter, fuel filter, and air filter are usually replaced around the same maintenance intervals, it's practical to purchase them together. Our complete filter set Iseki TU Landhope includes the oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and the sump plug gasket for €28.50 — and fits the entire TU145/155/165/175 series.

Iseki TU165: why include the sump plug gasket?

A detail that's often overlooked: with every oil change, you loosen the sump plug (oil sump drain plug), and this plug has a gasket ring that deforms when tightened. If you reuse an old, flattened gasket, you risk a leaking sump plug — precisely in a spot where a leak is easily overlooked until the oil level gets too low. Therefore, always replace this gasket with every oil change; it's already included in our complete filter set.

The complete filter set Iseki TU Landhope (oil, fuel, air and sump plug gasket) for €28.50 is the most practical choice for a complete maintenance service. Not sure about the hydraulic function? Then also check out the separate hydraulic filter Iseki TF15-TF23/TU145-TU217 for €38.50.
