Iseki GEAS TG21-TG33 maintenance schedule and adjustment values

Maintaining an Iseki GEAS TG tractor starts with following the correct schedule. Below is the complete periodic maintenance schedule from the original Iseki manual, with all inspection, refill and replacement intervals listed, plus the exact adjustment values for the clutch, brake, belt and toe-in.

Suitable for the entire series: TG21, TG23, TG25 (+TG25N), TG27, TG29 (+TG29F-16), TG31 and TG33.

Maintenance schedule (in operating hours)

Component Interval Action
Transmission oil First time after 50h, then every 300h Replace
Clutch pedal free play Before every ride Check
Brake pedal free play + operation Before every ride Check
Steering wheel play Every 300h Check (authorized workshop)
Toe-in (track adjustment) Every 300h Check/adjust
Tyre pressure Every 300h Adjust
Steering ball joints Periodic Re-check
Wheel bolts Before every ride Check for tightness
Throttle/pedal adjustment Every 300h Adjust
Lubrication points (grease nipples) Every 50h (daily during wet work) Grease
Clutch housing / oil leakage Once a year Check
Hydraulic oil filter First after 50h, then every 200h Replace
4WD front axle oil Every 100h check / every 600h Check / replace
Rubber hoses (cooling/fuel) Every 100h Check for cracks

Adjustment values

Component Value
Clutch pedal free play 20-30mm
Brake pedal free play 30-40mm, equal on left/right
Fan belt deflection 10-12mm under moderate thumb pressure
Toe-in Rear track − front track = 2-6mm
Steering wheel play 30-60mm at the outer edge of the steering wheel
Front axle support point play 0.1-0.3mm

An incorrectly adjusted brake pedal is no small matter: if the free play is not equal on the left and right, the tractor will pull to one side when braking. Always check this together, not separately. The same applies to the toe-in: if it's set incorrectly, you'll wear the tyres unevenly and the steering will feel unstable.

Cylinder head: tightening torques (E3CD/E3CF/E3CE engine family)

Do you need to remove the cylinder head (for example when replacing the head gasket)? Tighten the head bolts in three stages: first 2.0 kgf·m, then 4.0 kgf·m, and finally to the final value of 6.5-7.0 kgf·m (47-50.6 ft·lb), in the prescribed sequence. The tightening torque of the injectors is 3.0±0.5 kgf·m. Valve clearance (cold): 0.35mm for both intake and exhaust.

Planning a service? The complete filter set for the GEAS TG21-33 (oil, fuel and air filter) saves you separate orders, and with a grease gun + multi-MOS2 grease cartridge you can get all lubrication points (tie rod ends, brake arm, king pin) in order in one go.
