The complete maintenance schedule for the Yanmar F210H and F250H, straight from the original manual (ON03-00616). With the hour meter (located on the dashboard) you can easily keep track of the intervals. At the bottom you'll also find all the adjustment values for brakes, clutch, steering, V-belt and toe-in — exactly as specified in the manual.
Applies to the Yanmar Forte F210H and F250H; the gear-shift versions F-190 through F-250 largely follow the same schedule (without HST oil filter).
| Interval | Tasks |
|---|---|
| Daily / before each use | Check engine oil level, check coolant in expansion tank, battery level, clean radiator screen and cooling fins, check tires and lights |
| First 50 hours (break-in service) | Replace engine oil + oil filter, replace transmission oil + front axle oil, clean/replace transmission oil filter, HST oil filter and strainer, retighten important bolts |
| Every 50 hours | Grease all lubrication points, check fuel lines and couplings, check power steering hoses, check wiring, clean air filter |
| Every 100 hours | Change engine oil, check battery acid level and recharge, check V-belt (fan belt), retighten steering linkage and bolt connections |
| Every 300 hours | Replace engine oil filter, change transmission oil + front axle oil, replace transmission oil filter and HST oil filter, clean oil strainer, replace fuel filter element |
| Every 400–450 hours | Replace air filter element (sooner when working in dusty conditions; at least annually) |
| Every 600 hours | Have valve clearance checked/adjusted, have injectors tested, have crankcase cleaned (workshop) |
| Annually | Replace coolant and flush radiator internally, check wiring and fuses |
| Every 2 years | Replace radiator hoses, hydraulic hoses, fuel lines and the power steering high-pressure hose |
The manual emphasizes the first 50 hours as a separate break-in service: new (or new to you) means replacing oil and filters early, since break-in debris ends up in the oil at this stage. Don't skip this service on a freshly imported machine with an unknown history — treat the moment of purchase as hour zero.
| Component | Specified value | Adjustment |
|---|---|---|
| Brake pedal (free play) | 25 – 35 mm | Turnbuckle behind the pedal; adjust left and right equally |
| Clutch pedal (free play) | 15 – 25 mm | Turnbuckle in the clutch rod |
| Steering wheel (free play) | 20 – 50 mm | Beyond adjustment range → have it adjusted by a workshop |
| V-belt (deflection) | 10 – 15 mm under finger pressure at the midpoint | Loosen the alternator mounting bolt and shift the alternator; recheck a new belt after 50 hours |
| Front wheel toe-in | 4 – 8 mm (A − B) | Loosen the tie rod end lock nuts and rotate the tie rod |
Why this brake adjustment matters so much: unequal pedal free play left/right causes one-sided braking — downright dangerous on the road. After adjusting, also check that the parking brake holds firmly with the pedal fully depressed.
The fuse box is located in the engine compartment. Allocation according to the manual: turn signals 5 A, headlights etc. 15 A, dashboard/gauges 5 A, UFO/backup circuit 15 A, work light 15 A and power outlet 20 A. There's also a main fuse (fusible link): if it blows, there's a serious short circuit somewhere — never replace it with a thicker one, and find the cause first.
Parts tip: for your maintenance services, we offer, among others, the air filter (SKU-20017), the hydraulic/transmission filter for the F210 and F250 (SKU-250002) and the fuel filter 35 mm (SKU-150007, measure your current filter beforehand: 35 or 55 mm). Order everything at once, and you can complete the 300-hour service in a single afternoon.
