Mitsubishi MT160–MT240 engine and power

The smaller models run on the Mitsubishi S3L of 1125 cc, the two heaviest on the larger S3L2 of 1318 cc. Both are water-cooled three-cylinder four-stroke diesel engines. Maximum power is reached at 2500 rpm on all models.

Mitsubishi MT160–MT240 transmission and drive

The MT160 through MT190 have a sliding gearbox with six forward gears and three reverse, plus a high/low/super-low range. The MT200 through MT240 feature a (partially) synchromesh gearbox with eight forward gears and two reverse, and an optional super-creep gear. All models are four-wheel drive, with a dry single-plate clutch and wet disc brakes.

Mitsubishi MT160–MT240 PTO and hydraulics

All models have a PTO with three speeds and the option for reverse rotation (reverse PTO) for certain implements. The three-point linkage works with position control and automatic depth control (PAC).
