All engines are water-cooled 3-cylinder four-stroke diesel engines with glow plug preheating and starter motor. The battery is a 12V type 75D26R (maintenance-free). Note the difference between the engines: the GL19 and GL21 have the 1.4-liter D1403, the GL23 and GL25 the 1.46-liter D1463 with a larger bore, and the GL26 through GL32 the 1.5-liter D1503. Head and engine gaskets between these engines are therefore not interchangeable.
| Model | L x W x H (mm) | Wheelbase | Ground clearance | Weight |

| GL21 | 2,950 x 1,275 x 1,440 | 1,550 mm | 335 mm | 1,040 kg |
| GL23 | 2,950 x 1,275 x 1,450 | 1,550 mm | 350 mm | 1,060 kg |
| GL25 | 3,050 x 1,350 x 1,455 | 1,645 mm | 345 mm | 1,130 kg |

| GL32 | 3,180 x 1,455 x 1,475 | 1,750 mm | 360 mm | 1,210 kg |
| GL33 | 3,180 x 1,455 x 1,985* | 1,750 mm | 360 mm | 1,290 kg |
* Height including standard safety frame. The GL25K is the narrow version: 2,955 x 1,290 x 1,295 mm, 1,050 kg, ground clearance 270 mm, and a turning radius of just 2.0 m.
All models have a shuttle transmission with 16 gears forward and 16 reverse (main gear lever, range lever, and creep gear), available as constant-mesh or U-shift version. The GL21 runs forward from 0.23 to 14.81 km/h and reverse from 0.20 to 13.33 km/h. With the creep gears you can go well below 0.5 km/h – ideal for tilling, digging, and planting. The GL26 and GL33, due to a different final drive ratio, reach speeds of over 23 km/h. The turning radius with steering brake is 1.9 m (GL19–GL23), 2.1 m (GL25–GL27), or 2.2 m (GL29–GL33).
The rear PTO is a JIS 35 mm shaft with 6 splines. The GL21 runs at 568, 803, 985, and 1,304 rpm at rated engine speed (2,600 rpm); the X version also has a reversible PTO (803 rpm). The lift system operates with position control (and on M/MA versions, Monroematic automatic depth control) and has a category 1 (JIS) three-point hitch. More on this in the blog about hydraulics, PTO, and implements.
Standard tire sizes: GL19 6-14 front / 8.3-24 rear, GL21 6-14 / 9.5-22, GL23 6-14 / 9.5-24, GL25 and GL26 7-16 / 11.2-24, GL27 8-16 / 11.2-26, GL29 8-16 / 12.4-24, GL32 and GL33 8-16 / 13.6-24. The rear track width is adjustable in 5 or 6 positions on most models. Tire pressure according to the manual: 1.6 kgf/cm² front (2.0 with front loader) and 1.0 kgf/cm² rear.
