Description

With this crankshaft kit you completely replace the crankshaft of the Kubota D1503-M-E3 three-cylinder diesel engine in one go. Once the crankshaft is removed, the bearings, oil seals, and crankcase are exposed — and anything you do not replace at that point means disassembling it all over again later. Therefore, in addition to the crankshaft, this kit also includes all four main bearings, the connecting rod bearings, new connecting rod bolts, the thrust washers, and the complete gasket set for the D1503 with both crankshaft oil seals.

Tip: the cause of crankshaft damage is almost always a lack of oil or contaminated oil. Check the oil pump and oil channels before installing the new shaft — a new crankshaft on a worn oil pump will not last long. During an overhaul, also replace the cylinder head bolts; just like the connecting rod bolts, they stretch and should not be reused.
