Description

New 12V 85A alternator for Perkins 404C-22 and 404D-22 engines, as used in JCB mini excavators (8025 to 8055 Tier 3), JCB 1CX, JCB Robot, JCB telehandlers, and Caterpillar 216B to 247B. A direct 1-to-1 replacement for Perkins 2871A303 and JCB 332/F7240, 333/G6477, and 333/G6698: same housing, mounting, and connections.

Please note:

• Check the amperage. The same housing is also available as a 65A version (Perkins 2871A301, JCB 714/40152, Caterpillar 225-3141) and as a 75A version (Perkins 2871A302, JCB 714/40153, Caterpillar 225-3142). Mounting, position, and connections are identical, only the charging current differs. This 85A alternator can replace a 65A or 75A unit, but the reverse is not recommended. • JCB 8055: early 8055 RTS and ZTS models (2008 to 2012) feature an Isuzu engine with a different alternator. This alternator only fits the 8055 RTS with a Perkins engine (Tier 3).
• Machines with a Perkins 1004 or 1104 engine (including larger telehandlers) do not always use this alternator. Please compare the part number and amperage on your old alternator.
