Description

New 12V 75A alternator for Perkins 1004 and 1104C engines, as used in JCB backhoe loaders 2CX, 3CX, 4CX, and 214 to 217, and JCB 407 and 408 wheel loaders. A direct 1-to-1 replacement for Perkins 2871A302 and JCB 714/40153: same housing, same mounting, and same connections as the original.

• Check the amperage on your old alternator. This housing comes in three versions: 65 A, 75 A (this alternator), and 85 A. The mounting, position, and connections are identical, only the charging current differs. • The same JCB models were also built with other alternators, depending on the production year, engine, and equipment. Older and newer 3CX and 4CX models often use a different alternator. Therefore, always compare the number on the data plate of your old alternator.
• JCB has replaced part numbers 714/40153 and 714/40152 with 714/40476. If you have a machine from the list above, this alternator is a direct 1-to-1 replacement for the 714/40153.
