A Hinomoto C142, C144, C172, or C174 runs on a Toyosha diesel engine. With proper maintenance, these engines have proven to be indestructible. This kit contains everything for a complete service of the Hinomoto C142, C144, C172, and C174.
Complete maintenance kit consists of
- Filter set: air filter, engine oil filter, and fuel filter.
- Engine oil 15W40: 5 liters, more than enough. According to the manual, the C142 and C144 take 2.5 liters in the engine, and later engines with two drain plugs take 3.0 liters.
- Coolant: 5 liters, protects down to -40 °C and prevents corrosion in the engine. The cooling system of the C142 and C144 holds 3.0 liters according to the manual.
- Front axle oil 80W90 GL4: 4 liters, for the 4WD version. According to the manual, the C144 takes 1.5 liters in the center housing and 0.4 liters in each final drive.
The quantities apply to the C142 and C144 and can be found in our blog Hinomoto C142 and C144 engine oil and fluids. For the C172 and C174, the capacities are not confirmed. Fill according to the dipstick.
The hydraulic filter is not included in this set. For the C172 and C174, our hydraulic filter for the Hinomoto C172 and C174 fits.
Also want to change the transmission and hydraulic oil? Use our transmission oil GL-4 in a 10-liter container for this. According to the manual, the C142 and C144 take about 17 liters in the transmission, so you will need 2 containers. Fill to the dipstick level. The transmission oil is not included in this set.
