Description

This crankshaft kit allows you to replace the crankshaft of the Yanmar 3TNV70 three-cylinder diesel engine completely in one go. Once the crankshaft comes out, the bearings, oil seals, and crankcase are exposed — anything you leave out now means dismantling everything again later. In addition to the crankshaft, this kit therefore includes all four main bearings, connecting rod bearings, thrust washers, new connecting rod bolts, and the complete gasket set with both crankshaft oil seals.

Please note: this crankshaft also fits the 3TNV72, but the bearings in this kit are for the 3TNV70. If you have a 3TNV72, please contact us so we can include the correct bearings. If the old crankshaft has already been ground or the journals are undersized, you will need undersized bearings instead of this kit.

Tip: the cause of crankshaft damage is almost always a lack of oil or contaminated oil. Check the oil pump and oil channels before installing the new shaft — a new crankshaft on a worn-out oil pump will not last long.
