Kubota tightening torques
General information on the tightening torques of all Kubota engines.
- An important rule is that the head bolts must first be oiled, on which the correct NM can then be measured with the torque wrench.
Tuning of all 05 engines:
- D905, D1005, D1105
- V1205, V1305, V1505
Valve clearance when the engine is cold:
- 0.145 to 0.185mm
- 0.00571 to 0.00728 inch
Head bolts:
- 63.7nm to 68.6nm
- 6.5 to 7KGF
- 47.0 to 50.6 FT-LBS
Main bearing bolt
- Bolt 1 29.4nm to 34.3
- Bolt 2 49.0 to 53.9nm
Glow plug:
- 7.8 to 14.7 nm
- 0.8 to 1.5KGf
- 5.8 to 10.8 FT-LBS
Tuning of all 03 engines
- D1503, D1703
- V2003, V2203, V2403
Valve clearance when the engine is cold:
- 0.18 to 0.22mm
- 0.0071 to 0.0087 inch
Head bolts:
- 93.1nm to 98nm
- 9.5 to 10.0KGF
- 68.7 to 72.3 FT-LBS
Main bearing bolt
- Bolt 1 46.1 to 50.9
- Bolt 2 68.6 to 73.5nm
Glow plug:
- 19.6 to 24.5 nm
- 2.0 to 2.5KGf
- 14.5 to 18.1 FT-LBS
Tuning of all 02 engines
- Z402, Z482
- D622, D722, D782
Valve clearance when the engine is cold:
- 0.145 to 0.185mm
- 0.00571 to 0.00728 inch
Head bolts:
- 37.3nm to 42.2nm
- 3.8 to 4.3KGF
- 27.5 to 31.1 FT-LBS
Main bearing bolt
- Bolt 1 12.7 to 15.7nm
- Bolt 2 26.5 to 30.4nm
Glow plug:
- 7.85 to 14.7 nm
- 0.8 to 1.5KGf
- 5.8 to 10.8 FT-LBS
