General information on the tightening torques of all Kubota engines as an example the head bolts etc.
An important rule is that the head bolts must first be oiled, on which the correct NM can then be measured with the torque wrench. This means first cleaning the head bolts with a wire brush and then dipping them in oil. Drain this so that it cannot affect the tightening torque.
Adjustment of all Kubota D850, DH850, D950, V1100, V1200 engines:
Valve clearance when the engine is cold:
0.145-0.185 mm
0.0057-0.0073 in inches
Head studs or bolts:
48 to 51 FT-LBS
Main bearing bolt
Bolt 1 15.0 to 17 FT-LBS
Bolt case 22.0 to 25 FT-LBS
Flywheel bolts
40 to 43ft-lbs
Glow plug:
15 to 18 FT-LBS(D850 – D950) + 29 to 36 FT-LBS(V1100-V1200)
