The Iseki GEAS AT has a solid three-point linkage, a PTO with four speeds and a handy automatic lift function for turning at the headland. Below you can read all about the hydraulics and PTO, plus an honest answer to the question of what you can realistically do with 23 to 33 hp.
Suitable for the entire series: Iseki GEAS AT23, AT25, AT27, AT30, AT33, AT27N and AT33N.
The PTO has four speeds plus a separate reverse setting, driven via a JIS35 spline shaft.
| Model | Engine speed | PTO speeds (rpm) | Reverse PTO |
|---|---|---|---|
| AT23, AT25, AT27 | 2500 rpm | 569 / 765 / 942 / 1227 | 765 rpm |
| AT30, AT33 | 2800 rpm | 588 / 790 / 974 / 1268 | 790 rpm |
The lift system works with position control and is a 3-point linkage in JIS category I. One thing to note: a fixed tow hitch is an optional accessory on this series, so it's not fitted as standard on every unit. Do you need a tow hitch? Then check this when purchasing a used machine.
One of the handiest features of the AT series is the automatic lift function, also known as Auto-lift. If you're working with a rotary tiller (tilling or harrowing), it automatically lifts as soon as you turn the steering wheel for a bend. So you don't need to operate a separate lever when turning at the headland.
This function works in the "Auto-lift", "IQ-turn" and "Tillage work" settings of the single-dial work selector switch. An indicator light flashes in the following situations:
After turning, you lower the tiller again using the fingertip lever or the control lever. There's also the "Superfullturn" function — extra sharp turn assistance — which you activate via the same selector switch.
PTO hp is not the same as the pulling power you feel at the wheels: some of the engine power is always lost in the drivetrain. The examples below are therefore indicative and depend heavily on soil type and implement weight:
| Model | Power | Realistically usable for |
|---|---|---|
| AT23 / AT25 | 23-25 hp | Light rotary tiller up to approx. 1.2-1.4 m working width, flail mower, small disc harrow, transport trailer, snow plough |
| AT27 | 27 hp | Wider use possible: a slightly heavier rotary tiller or harrow, light rotavator |
| AT30 / AT33 | 30-33 hp | Front loader, heavier soil cultivation, wider rotary tillers, ploughing on light soil |
If you go for heavier work — clay soil, wide implements — you'll notice the limits sooner with the lighter models than with the AT30/AT33. Not sure about a specific implement? It's better to overestimate than underestimate.
