A direct 1-to-1 replacement for the Hitachi S114-655 (Yanmar 119631-77010).

Please note:

• Yanmar 3TNE68 with 8 teeth: many 3TNE68 and 3TNA68 engines (found in John Deere Gators and compact tractors, among others) use a smaller starter motor with 8 teeth and an 80 mm mounting flange (Hitachi S114-653, Yanmar 119225-77010). • Count the teeth and measure the mounting flange: this starter motor has 9 teeth and a 95 mm mounting flange. Please compare this with your old starter motor before ordering.
• Denso version: some engines originally came with a Denso starter motor (Denso 228000-5750, Yanmar 119255-77010) featuring the same mounting flange and tooth count. This Hitachi version replaces it as well, but the solenoid is rotated slightly differently (40° instead of 50°). Please check the clearance around the solenoid.
