Please note:
There is a second Kubota starter motor with the same 82 mm locating flange and the same power output, but with 9 teeth instead of 11. That one is fitted on the smaller V1502 and V1902 engines. Visually, they are barely distinguishable — the number of teeth is the only visible difference. Therefore, please verify the following before ordering:
- Count the teeth on the pinion. This version has 11. If you count 9, you need the V1502/V1902 version and this one will not fit.
- Check the nameplate. Look for Denso 228000-4740 or 228000-4741, or Kubota 17121-63013 or 17121-63014.
- Did you encounter the number 17121-63010? That number is linked to both versions in various catalogues and is therefore unreliable. In that case, always rely on the number of teeth or contact us.
