A direct 1-to-1 replacement for the original Denso reduction starter motor 228000-0980 / 228000-0950 (Kubota 16285-63010): same mounting flange, same 9 teeth, and same rotation direction.

Small Kubota engines use three starter motors that look almost identical, sharing the same 66 mm mounting flange. They differ in power output and sometimes in the number of teeth. Please check the number on your old starter motor:
