Description

The most complete overhaul kit we supply for the Yanmar 3TNE68 and 3TNA68 three-cylinder engines: in addition to pistons, rings, bearings, and a gasket set, this also includes three new cylinder liners. This brings a worn or bored-out engine block back to standard size without reboring — you press out the old liners and press in the new ones.

Cloverleaf or flat piston: the 3TNE68 comes with two piston crowns. Take out one piston and look at the crown: a milled cloverleaf shape in the piston head or a flat crown. Select the correct version at the top — if in doubt, send us a photo of the piston crown and we will gladly check it with you.

Please note — the liners are unfinished: the cylinder liners are supplied as semi-finished products and must be bored and honed to size after pressing in. Please factor this into your overhaul planning.

Why standard size pistons: with new cylinder liners, the block returns to standard size, so standard size pistons belong in it. Oversized pistons are only necessary when the existing liners are bored out.
